Rockton man jailed for 100 mph police chase while DUI


Brady Township, PA – A Rockton man was jailed for allegedly fleeing from police at more than 100 miles per hour while under the influence of alcohol.

State Police in DuBois reportedly saw 55-year-old Jon Weis speeding on Carson Hill Road in Brady Township on Sunday night around 8:15 p.m. and attempted to pull him over.

Weis fled in his 2006 Hyundai Sante Fe on Route 219, going more than 100 miles per hour at some points and committing multiple other traffic offenses.

He eventually pulled over and was taken into custody on South Street in Union Township, near Rockton, about 6 miles away.

He was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Weis was placed in the Clearfield County Jail on charges of DUI, fleeing and eluding police, and numerous traffic violations.
