RIDGWAY – An Elk County man is behind bars after police say he allegedly had drugs and guns in his possession.
On September 23rd State Police received an anonymous tip that a Ridgway resident was in possession of drug paraphernalia and firearms.
A check was performed on the residence of 53 year-old Scott Lovell, where police found six stamped bags and a needle in a plastic container in the basement of the home.
Police later found Lovell and placed him under arrest, where police allegedly found a needle containing a red liquid. When questioned he admitted to having methamphetamine in the home as well as two firearms that belonged to his deceased father.
Since Lovell is a convicted felon, he can not own any firearms.
He is currently in the Elk County Jail awaiting an October 2nd preliminary hearing.
