RIDGWAY – A Ridgway man fled from State Police on Tuesday leading to a police chase through the woods.
State Police say 49-year-old William Thompson of Ridgway fled from Ridgway State Police due to having active warrants for his arrest.
Thompson was arrested by police after a foot pursuit through the woods.
Thompson has been charged with flight to avoid apprehension and the possession of methamphetamine.
He is currently being held at the Elk County Jail.
