Ridgway Man Accused of Threatening Judge

RIDGWAY – A Ridgway man has been jailed after allegedly threatening to kill a local judge.

On January 3rd a man reported to the Ridgway Police Department that 70 year-old Donald Thornton allegedly threatened to kill a judge who was proceeding over his wife’s DUI case.

Following the report, police arrested Thornton and took him to the Elk County Jail where he faces felony retaliation against a prosecutor or judicial official, terroristic threats, and harassment charges.
