State Police in DuBois have filed criminal charges against a Reynoldsville man after a verbal argument escalated into a domestic incident last week.
Police were called to West Main Street in Reynoldsville around 11:30pm on April 4th for a simple assault.
When officers arrived the unnamed victim told police that she and her boyfriend, 39-year old James Neal, were in a verbal argument that escalated into assault when Neal allegedly struck her in the face several times with a closed fist and strangled her.
The victim was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for her injuries.
Neal remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $35,000 bail.
