CLEARFIELD – Pennsylvania Treasurer and Republican candidate for Governor, Stacy Garrity, visited Clearfield Tuesday, meeting voters and discussing issues facing the commonwealth.

Garrity pointed to her 30 year Army Reserve Career and private sector manufacturing experience before being elected as Pennsylvania Treasurer in 2020.

She criticized what she described as overspending by the current administration, and raised concerns over the state budget and economic direction stating that Pennsylvania needs to do better

“When we unleash the economy, we have to make sure our seniors can stay in the homes they worked a lifetime to build, and that our young people can afford to buy their first home,” Garrity said.

A Bradford County native, Garrity said that she is focused on rural Pennsylvania and putting the needs of residents ahead of politics in Harrisburg.
