FALLS CREEK – Workers at the Goodwill Industries warehouse in Falls Creek recently found a LEGO piece made of gold, and it is now up for auction.
The rare, 14-karat Bionicle Golden Mask is believed to be one of only 30 that the LEGO Company distributed in 2001. According to Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania Social Media and PR Coordinator Jessica Illuzzi, the tiny gold mask was found in a box full of jewelry that came from the State College Goodwill store. The gold mask is now being offered through an online auction at shopgoodwill.com. As of Tuesday, bidding had exceeded the $6,000 mark.
