Railroad crossing work may significantly impact DuBois traffic flow this week

SHARE NOW

DUBOIS – Railroad crossing work at the busy intersection of Routes 219 and 255 at the north end of Liberty Boulevard in DuBois should be wrapping up in the next day or two.

PennDOT says until the project is complete, traffic flow will be impacted significantly in that area.

If you are southbound on Route 219, instead of turning right onto Liberty Boulevard you will be detoured to Division Street, Beaver Drive, and then back onto Liberty Boulevard.

The Route 219 northbound lanes are also closed near the intersection, preventing you from crossing the tracks until the project wraps up.

In other Clearfield County traffic alert news, PennDOT says to be aware of road surface patching work on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

That work is scheduled to take place on Interstate 80 in Pine Township and along Route 255 in Huston Township.

Also, a shoulder maintenance project is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Sandy Township on Shaffer Road.
