Railroad crossing work may impact DuBois traffic flow this week

DUBOIS – At least two more days of railroad crossing work is expected at the busy intersection of Routes 219 and 255 at the end of Liberty Boulevard in DuBois.

PennDOT says that traffic flow will be impacted significantly while the project continues the next few days.

If you are southbound on Route 219, instead of turning right onto Liberty Boulevard you will be detoured to Division Street, Beaver Drive, and then back onto Liberty Boulevard.

The Route 219 northbound lanes are also closed near the intersection, preventing you from crossing the tracks until the project wraps up.

In other Clearfield County traffic alert news, PennDOT says to be aware of road surface patching work this week on Wednesday and Thursday.

That work is scheduled to take place on Interstate 80 in Pine Township and along Route 255 in Huston Township.

Also, a shoulder maintenance project is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Sandy Township on Shaffer Road.
