DUBOIS – Rumors and reports of the status of DuBois’ Solicitor, Matthew Geig, were questioning his practice in connection to a Pennsylvania Supreme Court case against him.
Geig admitted he had a problem with alcohol in the past, leading to a case with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, but he is now past it.
“I am proud to say that I am in recovery, that I’m sober, and that it does not affect my work product at all,“ explained Geig.
Wanting to move forward from that chapter in his life he did not inform the council, which he legally could do, his law firm was made aware of the case.
In the end, Geig hopes that his story can help those suffering from addiction to seek out the help they need.
