BROOKVILLE – A Punxsutawney woman is facing assault and harassment charges for allegedly hitting another woman with a fence post.
State Police say 52-year-old Melissa Humble went to the victim’s Reynoldsville home in September, pushed a mailbox over, threw items at the house, shouted obscenities, and then started swinging a metal fence post which struck and injured the victim’s hand.
Humble was reportedly upset that her husband had been helping out at the 34-year-old woman’s property.
The preliminary hearing for Humble is scheduled for January 23rd.
