Punxsutawney – A Punxsutawney woman has been jailed on charges of stealing a diamond ring and then selling it for $1,800.

Police say 52-year-old Kimberly McMullen was arrested for burglary, theft, criminal trespass and receiving stolen property.

McMullen is in the Jefferson County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Her preliminary hearing will be June 9th.

Court documents indicate that McMullen is accused of stealing the ring from an unnamed victim who originally purchased the ring from McMullen for $1,000.

The ring was taken to a Johnstown jewelry store and sold for $1,800.

An employee of the jewelry store confirmed that the person who sold the ring was McMullen, and they had a copy of her driver’s license.
