PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Punxsutawney woman is facing several charges after allegedly stealing and using an EBT card that belonged to a man in hospice care.
Police began an investigation into 61 year-old Karen Farcus after they received reports that a victim noticed her father’s EBT and medical cards were missing from his wallet after passing away in a nursing home on March 1st.
Police then questioned Farcus, who allegedly admitted to taking the EBT card and using it at the Punxsutawney Walmart. Investigation revealed the total of unauthorized transactions totaled $129.07 dollars.
Farcus is now facing multiple theft related charges.
