PUNXSUTAWNEY – A man is behind bars after allegedly fleeing from police during a routine traffic stop last month.

According to State Police, on March 21st authorities saw a vehicle traveling the wrong direction on a one-way road in Punxsutawney. When troopers attempted to pull the vehicle over they allegedly fled.

After a pursuit reaching up to 120 miles per hour the car ultimately stopped at the intersection of Route 119 and Brady Road in Indiana County.

The driver, 38 year-old John Szentmiklosi, was placed into custody where he now faces felony fleeing charges and multiple traffic violations.
