Punxsutawney man facing charges for alleged threats to blow up convenience store

PUNXSUTAWNEY – A 32-year-old Jefferson County man is facing multiple criminal charges for allegedly threatening to blow up the Uni-Mart convenience store in Punxsutawney.

Police say Michael Buchmiller of Punxsutawney harassed a store employee and said he was going to blow the place up after she told him that he was not allowed in the store because of prior incidents.

Charges of terroristic threats, defiant trespassing, disorderly conduct, and harassment were filed against Buchmiller.

His preliminary hearing in magisterial court is scheduled for October 4.
