Punxsutawney man faces charges for assaulting woman in Henderson Township

Punxsutawney – A 45-year-old Punxsutawney man is in the Jefferson County Jail facing two felony charges after he fired a rifle into a ceiling and assaulted a woman in Henderson Township.

State Police say David Sullivan was arrested at a home on Big Run-Prescottville Road where he allegedly fired the weapon and assaulted the victim on October 8th.

Sullivan and the victim were reportedly fighting over his accusation that she was cheating on him.

It was discovered there were also active arrest warrants for Sullivan in Elk County.

Sullivan’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 26th.
