Punxsutawney man charged for assaulting woman

Falls Creek, PA – State Police have filed criminal charges against a Punxsutawney man for allegedly assaulting a woman last weekend.

35-year old Mark Shaffer has been charged with assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct stemming from a domestic incident where Shaffer allegedly pushed a woman and grabbed her by the wrists while trying to grab the victim’s phone.

His preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
