Punxsutawney man charged for assaulting woman

Punxsutawney – Multiple charges have been filed against a Jefferson County man following a brutal assault of a woman during a domestic dispute.

Police say 31-year-old Travis Kirbaugh of Punxsutawney was jailed on $25,000 bail following his arraignment.

According to court documents, Kirbaugh repeatedly punched the victim in the face and attempted to choke her.

The preliminary hearing for Kirbaugh is scheduled for June 9th.
