DuBois, PA – In the aftermath of the death of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, protests and demonstrations have erupted across the country.
Although the majority of protests are peaceful, some riots and looting broke out in larger cities.
Here in DuBois, however, it was a peaceful demonstration, with a handful of people last night holding signs on Liberty Boulevard.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution ensures the right of the people to assemble peaceably.
Listen to some of the comments from protesters.
