CLEARFIELD – Pre-trial motions in a DuBois murder case were heard in Clearfield County Court last week.
An attorney for 60-year-old Glen Johnston of DuBois filed a motion asking that certain evidence in the case be suppressed. Johnston is accused of shooting and killing 46-year-old Jude Srock of DuBois in a parking lot in March when they had a confrontation about Srock having an affair with Johnston’s wife. When Johnston was arrested he reportedly admitted to police that he shot and killed Srock, but Johnston’s attorney is asking that those statements be suppressed, and he also argues that there was not enough evidence presented at the preliminary hearing to have charges of criminal homicide filed against Johnston.
Judge Frederic Ammerman is giving both sides more than a month to issue briefs on their position regarding the motion.
