DuBois, PA – Today is the practice for local students who will be competing in a battle of wits!
The Junior Scholastic Challenge, which is now in its 23rd year, will actually take place next Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Penn State DuBois.
The Senior Scholastic Challenge has been an annual event for 33 years now and will be held two weeks later in the same place, on March 12.
Carol Foltz, the longtime organizer of the even, says, even though the students get prizes, most of the kids are there just to have fun and show off their skills.
Listen to the full interview with Carol, including why she loves seeing the kids compete, why the program was started, and even some examples of some questions the students might be asked.
