Police Investigating Copper Wire Theft

RIDGWAY – State Police are asking for your help in identifying those responsible for stealing $12,000 dollars worth of copper from a cell tower in Ridgway.

According to police an unknown number of individuals stole around 150 feet of copper wire and three copper ground plates at a tower near Shelvey Summit Road.

Police also say the suspects knew what components they could take without being electrocuted or causing the system to fail.
