Treasure Lake, PA – Jump in… the water’s fine! Actually, it’s a little cold, but that’s the whole point of the Polar Plunge, coming up tomorrow at the Treasure Lake marina during their Winterfest celebration.
The cost for the Polar Plunge is $20, and it goes towards YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign. Donations help make the Y accessible for every family, no matter their finances, with an income-based rate scale, so every kid has the chance to have fun at the YMCA.
Even if a health condition or your lack of adventure keeps you from taking the plunge, you can still be part of the fun by signing up yourself or someone else to get locked in the chicken coop for a donation!
The biggest part of Winterfest is the Polar Plunge. Registration is at 10:30, then be ready to take the plunge at 11.
It’s followed by a sled derby, chili cookoff, and live music.
