Pittsburgh man faces assault charges after Treasure Lake stabbing

DuBois – A 47-year-old Pittsburgh man is facing assault charges for stabbing a man in the neck at the Treasure Lake Campground during the 4th of July weekend.

Sandy Township Police say Bart Thompson was playing around and wrestling with the victim when it became an all-out fight and the stabbing occurred.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was rushed to Penn Highlands DuBois with heavy bleeding from the neck and severe blood loss, plus injuries to his arms.

Thompson reportedly said he couldn’t remember why the fight began.

He suffered an orbital bone fracture in the fight.

Thompson’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
