Philipsburg man sentenced for theft

Clearfield –

A Philipsburg man has been sentenced to state prison for 1 to 3 years for stealing over $4,000 from a former employer and driving a stolen car.

35-year old Zachary Corey Cooper pleaded guilty to felony counts of identity theft and access device fraud, and to a felony charge of receiving stolen property.

Cooper made numerous fraudulent credit card transactions totaling $4,334 by using his former employer’s company credit card.

The unnamed employer fired Cooper in November 2020.
