Clearfield – A Philipsburg man will serve 18 months to three years in state prison following his conviction in a road rage case.

Police say 36-year-old Michael Welder threatened to kill a dump truck driver with a knife in Houtzdale earlier this year.

Welder was found guilty of terroristic threats, assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

Judge Paul Cherry handed down Welder’s sentence in Clearfield County Court on Tuesday.
