HomeCrimePhilipsburg man charged after attacking woman on Clearfield County Rails to TrailsPhilipsburg man charged after attacking woman on Clearfield County Rails to TrailsFri, July 1, 2022 by Louise BennettSHARE NOW Clearfield – A Philipsburg man who allegedly attacked a woman bicycling on a Clearfield County Rails to Trails will face multiple charges, including felony aggravated assault.40-year-old Frederick Hazel waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday, and his case now moves to County Court.Hazel allegedly attacked the victim and hit her in the head and face several times with a large stick as she rode by him near Arnoldtown Road in Curwensville on June 15th.Police eventually caught and arrested Hazel near Clearfield.He is in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.The victim suffered a concussion during the attack.
