DuBois, PA – Congratulations to Pentz Run Youth Services who, after years of hard work and fundraising, just broke ground on their new upcoming counseling center building!
Pentz Run is a group home in DuBois. Children who are taken out of their homes and placed into foster care in the DuBois area sometimes end up at Pentz Run, for however long they might need to be there. Sometimes they are only there for a few days before they can go back to their parents or can be placed with other family members, and sometimes they end up staying a little longer.
Pentz Run offers foster kids a safe and stable place to stay in the meantime.
The new building will continue the work that Pentz Run currently does, but the building will offer additional beds for kids who need a little more specialized or structured attention, with maybe some higher-level behavioral problems.
The building is expected to be completed within a year.
