
HARRISBURG – During the five-day Thanksgiving holiday travel period in Pennsylvania, the State Police investigated a total of 970 vehicle crashes.
Alcohol was reportedly a factor in 48 of those accidents, and there were two fatalities.
All of those numbers were considerably lower than a year ago.
In 2021, there were 1,155 crashes, 91 involving alcohol, and five people killed.
State Police did report an increase in the number of DUI arrests made this year … 539, up six from last year.
