UNDATED – Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has showcased his proposed $51 billion dollar 2025-2026 budget focusing on economic development, education, and safety.

Notable expenditures include $526 million dollars for underfunded school districts, $300 million dollars for public transportation agencies, and funding set aside for firefighter aid.

This year’s budget is seeing some new revenue sources, as the Governor says that skill game regulation and cannabis legalization could be a step in the right direction.

Even though this year’s budget is almost nine percent more than last year, the governor believes that a ten billion dollar tax cut can be achieved by 2029.
