
HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania’s Game Commission is reporting that 2022 was a very good black bear season with the harvest the 14th largest all time.
According to data from the Game Commission, Pennsylvania hunters harvested three bears that were 700 pounds or more, and 11 that topped 600 pounds.
There was a total of 3,170 bears taken during the most recent season.
In Clearfield County, a total 114 bears were harvested in 2022 … 7th most among the state’s 67 counties.
