PennDOT projects near DuBois could create minor traffic delays

DUBOIS – A pair of PennDOT projects are starting this week which may impact you with minor traffic delays near DuBois. Routes 255 and 219 from the area just north of the Treasure Lake gate to the Clearfield/Jefferson County line will be the impacted area. Starting today is a safety project designed to improve traffic flow through the area when Interstate 80 needs to be closed. Some earthwork, including trenching and conduit installation, is scheduled to begin off the roadway for the Intelligent Transportation System portion of the project.

The starting Wednesday, you could encounter brief travel delays on Route 255 north of DuBois. PennDOT says work crews will be taking core borings near Hungry Hollow Road as part of a future bridge replacement project on Route 255. The work is scheduled to conclude by Friday, January 27th. An alternating traffic pattern will be enforced by flaggers just north of the Treasure Lake gate.
