DUBOIS – A Penn State DuBois associate professor has received two awards.

Emily Thomas, associate teaching professor of wildlife technology, has been honored as the DuBois Educator of the Year, and has received the University College Faculty Service Award. The DuBois Educational Foundation presents the DuBois Educator of the Year Award to recognize outstanding service at Penn State DuBois, and the University College Faculty Service Award is given to a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in service as a representative of the University and the student body through advising and student affairs activities.

Thomas has served as a faculty member of Penn State DuBois for 12 years.

She said, It is an absolute honor to have received both of these awards. Knowing that my teaching and service is having such a positive impact on our students, the DuBois campus, the University and the community, … is extremely fulfilling.”
