Penn Highlands Healthcare and CPI form partnership to address nursing shortage

DUBOIS – In an effort to address a regional nursing shortage, Penn Highlands Healthcare and Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology are forming a partnership.

Benefits will be made available to those pursuing a career in nursing in Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania.

The partnership will provide up to $20,000 in tuition, as well as clinical rotations and employment agreements to qualifying students who enter CPI’s licensed practical nursing program.

Graduates of the program will have the option of working at a Penn Highlands Healthcare hospital, outpatient facility, or physician practice.
