ST. MARYS – Several Elk County residents expressed their concerns at this week’s board of director’s meeting of Penn Highlands Elk.
The annual meeting, held Wednesday, was open to public attendance and welcomed comments. The board fielded questions and comments mostly about the recent decision to discontinue maternity, labor, and delivery services at the Penn Highlands’ St. Marys hospital.
Answers were not provided at the meeting, but the board of directors assured community members that they will address the concerns in the days ahead.
