HomeFeel-Good/EventsPenn Highlands DuBois Trauma Team highlights impaired driving through Mocktail PartyPenn Highlands DuBois Trauma Team highlights impaired driving through Mocktail PartyTue, June 28, 2022 by Louise BennettSHARE NOW DuBois – With the 4th of July Weekend fast-approaching, DuBois-area medical, law enforcement, and highway safety officials are wanting to emphasize the dangers involved with impaired driving.On Thursday, the Penn Highlands DuBois Trauma Team is hosting a “mocktail party” to do just that.The “mocktail party” will be held in the lobby of Penn Highlands DuBois from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, as a cooperative effort between Penn Highlands DuBois, PennDot, the DuBois City Police Department and the Highway Safety Network.Those who attend will be provided “mocktail” beverage recipes for safe celebrations, a chance to test out the impaired driving simulator, and go through a field sobriety test while wearing impairment simulation goggles.It’s an opportunity to learn more about the dangers of impaired driving, and how to stay safe during your Independence Day celebrations.
