DuBois – Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois opened its new Stern Center for Behavioral Health Monday.
The $22 million facility on Penn Highlands’ East Campus was presented to the public with an open house event and tours.
Adult behavioral health services will be expanded at the new Stern Center while a therapeutic approach will be used to help children and adolescent patients manage their emotions and deal with life situations.
Kevin Patterson assistant Medical Director says it’s about true compassion and that families know they care:
The Stern Center project is part of Penn Highlands’ $111 million Master Facilities Plan which began in 2018.
