Penn Highlands Clearfield opens new Emergency Department

CLEARFIELD – A new Emergency Department is open at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

The $6 million modernization of the Emergency Department at the Clearfield Hospital is intended to make it more efficient in meeting the healthcare needs of the more than 18,000 patients who visit there each year.

Eight private exam rooms, two triage rooms, two trauma bays, and two behavioral health rooms are among the highlights of the renovated facility.

The new Emergency Department at Penn Highlands Clearfield is part of the health system’s overall $180 million Master Facilities Plan.
