Penfield Man Sentenced for Role in Burger King Robbery

CLEARFIELD – A Penfield man will be spending up to five years in State Prison for his role in robbing a DuBois Burger King employee.

We previously reported that 54 year-old John Lentz Jr. was arrested in June of 2024 after being accused of driving a getaway car for 60 year-old Richard Smeal, who assaulted and stole from a Burger King employee.

Now after pleading guilty to felony conspiracy/robbery and misdemeanor fleeing he was sentenced to spend between 16 months and five years in State Prison.

Smeal was sentenced last month for the robbery to spend between 41 months and 12 years in State Prison.
