Penfield man accused of stealing $900 worth of mail

Saint Marys, PA – A Clearfield County man faces charges after allegedly stealing nearly $900 worth of USPS mail.

26-year-old Andrew Shaffer from Penfield is accused of taking mail from a location on Haller Road in Saint Marys from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18.

The stolen USPS mail, including letters, envelopes, cards, and postage, and any merchandise inside was worth $895.90.

Shaffer is charged with two misdemeanor counts for theft by unlawful taking or disposition and one misdemeanor for criminal attempt of theft.
