Brady Township, PA – A woodmill caught fire in Brady Township, near Luthersburg, overnight last night.
The first calls to fire companies came around 1 a.m. this morning, with a caller reporting visible flames from a woodmill along Evergreen Road, which appears to be Colonial Hardwoods in Luthersburg.
By the time crews arrived, the building was already fully involved and crews heard multiple explosions from the commercial building as the fire continued.
Although no one was inside the building at the time, at least one fire fighter reportedly had a medical emergency while on scene.
The fire was mostly extinguished by 2:30, but some firefighters were called back for flareups in the sawdust.
The scene was finally cleared around 4 a.m. this morning.
Other details are limited.
Thank you to our hardworking firefighters for extinguishing that fire while we were asleep!
