HARRISBURG – Approximately $14 million worth of prohibited drugs were taken off of Pennsylvania streets by State Police during the second quarter of 2023.
In a recent report, Troopers say they removed 144 pounds of cocaine, 164 pounds of methamphetamines, 60 pounds of fentanyl, 11 pounds of heroin, 1,617 pounds of processed marijuana and 74,074 pills of assorted narcotics off the streets in the last three months.
There was also a reported 1,227 pounds of prescription medications collected by State Troopers as part of its Prescription Drug Takeback Program.
The program is available at 65 state police stations across Pennsylvania, which allows you to safely dispose of unused or unwanted medications 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
