OSCEOLA MILLS – An Osceola Mills man is facing multiple charges after allegedly strangling a woman.
On February 21st, police responded to reports of a domestic dispute at an Osceola Mills home. Once on scene police spoke to 24 year-old Cody Baranchak who claimed that he and the victim got into an argument and both struck each other.
When police spoke to the victim at her mother’s house, she claimed they got into an argument when Baranchak allegedly choked her and restricted her breathing, he also allegedly struck her multiple times. Police noted several bruises and dried blood in her mouth.
The victim also allegedly provided police with video of the incident.
Baranchak has since been taken to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces felony strangulation, simple assault, and false imprisonment charges.
