One person killed and another seriously injured in Big Run crash Monday


Big Run, PA – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Big Run on Monday morning, but police have not yet released the identity of who died or what caused the crash.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. Monday on West Main Street in Big Run Borough, just west of Smyers Street.

State Police in Punxsutawney say the person who was killed and the person who was seriously injured, both of whom are from Punxsutawney, were in a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver was killed, and the passenger was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with severe injuries.

The other people involved have been identified, and neither of them sustained any injuries in the crash.

31-year-old Richard Wicker from Mahaffey had been driving an International, a type of commercial truck.

32-year-old Stephen Clark from Big Run had been driving a Toyota Tundra.

All four had been wearing their seat belts.

Again, police do not say how the crash happened. They have not yet publicly identified the victims.
