JEFFERSON COUNTY – One man is dead following a multi-vehicle crash and subsequent tractor trailer fire in Jefferson County Wednesday morning.
Crews received reports of the crash just after 6am Wednesday morning at a rest stop between the DuBois and Hazen exits on I-80.
Once on scene first responders discovered multiple wrecked tractor trailers, with one engulfed in flames.
Jefferson County Coroner, Brenda Shumaker, was able to confirm that a 30-year-old male not from this area was killed.
A portion of I-80 was closed for several hours after the crash.
