Olanta man arrested for waving weapon while shirtless in middle of road

Knox Township, PA – A Clearfield County man holding a beer and a weapon was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, among other things.

On July 8, 51-year-old Robert Passmore from Olanta was seen by passersby while he was standing shirtless in the middle of Zion Road, waving what looked to be a small gun at passing vehicles.

When police arrived, Passmore dropped the weapon but failed to comply with the troopers’ commands.

He resisted arrest but was eventually detained.

he weapon, which originally had seemed to be a small handgun, was found to be a folding knife.

Passmore will face charges of terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and endangering another person.

A 42-year-old woman, 13-year-old girl, and 11-year-old boy are listed as victims on the police report, although it doesn’t seem as though anyone was physically injured.
