PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Corning New York Funeral Director is facing multiple felony charges after driving to Punxsutawney to meet a teenage decoy for sex.
According to State Police, 55 year-old Peter Russell was in contact with the group 814 Pred Hunters disguised as a 14 year-old girl since March 31st.
He allegedly sent numerous sexual messages to the “girl” in an attempt to groom her. He also allegedly told the girl that he knew he could get into trouble for his actions.
Russell then allegedly made plans to meet the girl at the Carter Avenue Playground in Punxsutawney, where he was met by police.
He was then taken into custody where he faces felony sexual assault, corruption of minors, and indecent assault charges.
