DUBOIS – A former Christ the King Manor Personal Care Aide is facing multiple theft charges after allegedly stealing more than $2,000 from a resident.
In May, Sandy Township police were called to investigate a reported theft at the nursing home. Police learned a 91-year old resident was missing checks, and money was missing from the victim’s accounts. Unauthorized use of the victim’s credit card was also discovered.
Police questioned a former employee, 46-year old Lisa Muth, who had quit her job around the time the alleged thefts took place. Muth reportedly admitted to stealing the checks, and writing out payments totaling approximately $2,200.
Muth is now facing felony forgery, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property charges.
