At this week’s meeting of the Clearfield County Commissioners, grants of $10,000 were given to five non-profits while $5,000 grants were awarded to four other organizations.

The county’s grant recipients included the Sandy Hose Company Number 1; the Clearfield, Curwensville, and Madera Moose Lodges; Veterans of Foreign Wars posts in Osceola Mills, Clearfield, and Curwensville; the Olympic Athletic Club; and the Morann Citizens Club.

The mini grant program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

The commissioners noted that there are three other applications that are pending additional information before their grants can be approved.
