CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Judge Paul Cherry recently sentenced a 23-year old Buffalo, New York man to a two-to-five year sentence in state prison on multiple drug charges.
According to court documents, Donte Jones pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines, and resisting arrest.
The case against Jones stems from a June 3rd high speed chase and traffic stop in DuBois. That chase culminated in a vehicle striking and causing major damage to the Life Community Church building on Weber Avenue before rolling over three times. Jones, as well as two other men, ran from the scene, but they were caught a short time later by police and the DuBois K-9, Ace. A search warrant was carried out on the vehicle, and multiple bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine was allegedly found.
The other two suspects, Jahuan Ware and Quaron Jones were scheduled to appear in Clearfield County Court yesterday to negotiate plea agreements.
